Elana Freeman

Elana Freeman is an IT Executive who focuses on IT Strategy and IT Project Management. She manages a Project Management Office for a global German Supply Chain company and has worked in IT for over 30 years. She has a passion for STEM, specifically advancing women and girls in STEM through mentorship and coaching.

Elana is the Chair of the Status of Women and Human Rights committee at Ontario Council for the 2026-2028 biennium. She was the Chair of the Status of Women and Human Rights sub-committee for the 2024-2026 biennium. She is a member of CFUW Windsor and is on the executive planning committee for her club. She was also the Chair of the LAC that organized the very successful CFUW Ontario Council AGM. In addition she was the RD for Ontario West from 2020-2024. Fun fact - Elana joined CFUW Windsor at the direction of her mother, Sharon Freeman, who was a CFUW member in Sarnia-Lambton.

Elana is also a board member of The Hour-A Day Study Club, one of the longest running, non-profit, female driven organizations in Canada. The Hour-A-Day Study Club provides African-Canadian youth, that are descendants of the Underground Railroad, with scholarship funds to help finance their post-secondary education. She is also the President of The Friends of the Court, an organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing Mackenzie Hall, a historical centre for arts and culture in Windsor that was built by Alexander Mackenzie, Canada's second Prime Minister.

In her spare time, Elana loves travelling, reading, relaxing at her cottage, and searching for her next adventure.
