BIOGRAPHY
Marg joined CFUW Markham-Unionville in 2014
She joined the executive the following year and has served as President for two terms.
After graduating from the University of Toronto (B.A.) and the University of Western Ontario (B. Ed.) Marg worked in York Region (YCDSB) and spent the last ten years of her teaching career as a Teacher-Librarian.
She was actively involved with CTLA (Catholic Teacher's Library Association).
In Markham, she enrolled student teams in a reading competition called the Battle of the Books.
CFUW M-U was one of the sponsors and this was the impetus for joining CFUW upon retiring. The Club is still running this competition and Marg is a member of the organizing committee.
In 2024, Marg became the RD for Ontario Central and feels privileged to be in the company of this remarkable group of women who work tirelessly to keep our Club dynamic and relevant in these challenging times.
