BIOGRAPHY

I have been a member of the Windsor Ontario CFUW for 20 years, holding a variety of positions. I was often the organizer for All Candidate Meetings for all levels of government. My most satisfying role has been engaging with scholarship recipients and outside groups. Most recently I served as WFCU Provincial Legislative Chair.

Professionally my career focussed on occupational health, culminating in a PhD in Work and Health. I began as a volunteer worker representative for the Workers’ Compensation Board. For 10 years I served as a Vice-Chair of the Workplace, Safety and Appeals Tribunal and had another stint as Chair of the Occupational Disease Panel for the Ontario Government. I ended my career as a researcher at the University of Waterloo. During this career path I was able to focus and publish on women’s health and its relationship to our work. I have always been involved in volunteer activities.

As a representative of the Ombudsman, I sat on the Council of Policing and Race Relation for the Toronto Police Services. Most recently the Canadian Government allowed me to participate as an observer during three Ukrainian elections. I continue to be an active member of the Canadian Ukrainian community.
